Table for two: Chef's romantic Valentine's dinner

This Valentine we'd like you to enjoy a private and cosy dinner at home with high quality ingredients and the best guidance: our Head Chef's recipe. Here are his instructions for a perfect Valentine's dinner.

OP Rib Steak

1- Remove the steak from the plastic and sit on the bench for 20 minutes before cooking. Meanwhile preheat your oven to 170°C.

2- Season the steak on all sides with a nice amount of salt and pepper.

3- Heat a pan on high heat until it starts to smoke, then add 3tbsp of olive oil.

4- Add the steak to the pan, turn the heat to medium and sear for 3 minutes on both sides.

5- Place the steak into the oven on an oven tray (or if you have a metal handle on your frying pan then the whole pan can go into the oven, just make sure to use a tea towel to grab it when it’s done!)

6- Cook the steak for 8-10 minutes or until a probe reads 52°C for medium rare.

7- Take out of the oven and place the signature butter on top of the steak and allow it to rest for 10 minutes and that butter to melt all over it.

8- Slice the steak however thick you like and enjoy!

Lava Cake

1- Keep the oven set to 170°C, place the lava cake onto a oven proof flat tray and place in the oven on the medium shelf.

2- Cook for 12-13 minutes.

3- Remove from the oven and sit for 1 minute on the bench.

4- Using a towel so you don’t burn your hand, carefully (but quickly) turn out the lava cake onto a plate and serve!
