Recipe: Easy Pull-Apart Beef Brisket in the Oven

Got a hankering for tender and delicious beef brisket? You’re in luck – here’s how you can make a great beef brisket using your oven in six easy steps.

The only hard part of this recipe is waiting to eat it while your kitchen smells so good. Cooked in the oven with an amazing dry rub, this is the perfect way to experience Texas-style beef brisket at home without having to own a smoker.

Ingredients

  • 1.2kg of boneless beef brisket
  • 1 tbsp of chipotle in adobo sauce
  • 3 tsp of dried oregano
  • 3 cloves of crushed garlic
  • 2½ tsp of ground cumin
  • 1½ tbsp of red wine vinegar

Method

Step 1

Preheat the oven to 160°C.

Step 2

Put the beef in a baking dish.

Step 3

Mix the chipotle, oregano, garlic, cumin and red wine vinegar together in a small bowl and add a splash of water.

Step 4

Rub the contents of the bowl all over the beef, then cover the baking dish with foil or a tight. Bake for at least four hours (or until the meat is very tender).

Step 5

Remove the baking dish from the oven and leave it to stand for 30 minutes (or until it’s cool enough to handle).

Step 6

Shred the brisket and enjoy.
